TEZ has some of the most talented hair stylists. I’d recommend TEZ for the latest trends, hair coloring, and styling. The atmosphere is very modern and clean and they have all new equipment, chairs, sinks, etc. Definitely a fun place to get your hair done and feel like a king or queen.

A Harmeling

This review is not about this salon, but my experience with Chelsea Miller. I went in for a haircut and a balayage and unfortunately my hair did not come out as I was expecting. I had a consultation with her and showed her inspiration pics that I saved. I also showed her pictures of hair color that I did NOT want. I have very dark brown hair and was looking for blonde/beige balayage highlights. She then told me she was taking leave for a month (which had I known that I would have waited to schedule a consult since it makes more sense to have a consult and hair dye appointment closer together). When I did get in to see her I showed her my inspo pics again briefly and I just assumed my hair was going to come out very similar to my inspo pics. Towards the end when she was drying my hair, it was obvious that my hair did not turn out as I was wanting. It really just looked like normal highlights that had grown out and slightly darker than I was wanting. She did ask me if my hair was darker than I expected to which I told her yes. She told me I could make another appointment to brighten the highlights or maybe I would be happy with the results after going home. It wasn’t until I came home and really played with my hair that I realized it was not only the color that didn’t turn out, but how sparse the amount of coloring was. When my hair is in a bun you can barely tell I have any highlights which I was not expecting. I texted her to express my concern, hoping she would fix my hair either at a discounted rate or free, but she just told me I would need another full appointment and asked to re-send the inspo pics (which I don’t understand why she didn’t do that before the actual first appointment). I sent her the inspo pics and a picture of my hair and asked if she would consider giving me a discounted second session due to the sparsity of hair color. She didn’t write back for the rest of the day or the next morning and I felt like I was being ignored which was frustrating. I sent her a text in the afternoon asking if she got my texts and she said yes, and basically due to my dark hair I would need more than one session. She only mentioned that over 6 weeks go when I first messaged her, never mentioned during the consult or appointment that I needed two sessions. I then wrote her back telling she never mentioned she was going to start with less color and add more color for a second session, that I felt blindsided and misled, and my hair just looks like normal highlights and not what I was wanting based on my inpso pics. She never wrote me back. I believe what happened is that during my appointment she felt like she was doing a satisfactory job and not until we were actually done did she start mentioning a second appointment to cover herself. I gave her a 20% tip which I regret now as I feel robbed and lied to. I understand that hairstylists can make mistakes but the problem I have is that she was not willing to fix it for free or for a discount, did not respond to multiple texts, and wasn’t completely transparent about what I should expect with my hair. It was a very disheartening experience. I also asked for face framing layers (even showed pics) which she barely did AND left it uneven. But honestly I’m more upset about the hair dye job. I’ll know now to ask the right questions in the future and thoroughly make sure my next hairstylist understands what I want.

Ramona did a the best job on my mop! Clipped and textured my hair. I don’t know the technique or verbage but she did some magic to my dome. I’ll be back for my next appointment for sure.

I can only put my hair with people that I trust, or risk having damage, but I must say Jovanni Frigillana did a great job yesterday with my highlights! I’m really happy, he was so accommodating and sweet. (Also gentle which is HUGE must for me). Of course Basia, Courtney and Casmir have helped me in the past and they are amazing too. Beautiful Salon, great people. Easy to schedule on Instagram. I know I’ll always have quality services. Tez is top notch 🙂 – Highly recommend – They really know what they are doing. The prices are high, but totally worth the quality.
